The glup story
glup is born from an idea and a desire.
The idea: A drool bib received as a gift from a Swiss friend in 2008. There was nothing like it on the local market. We wanted to make it available here in Canada, and it was a success right from the start. Our Drool Bib remains our flagship product and bestseller. It is also the product that is the most popular with parents. We then added an entire collection of accessories, each more irresistible than the next. And that was just the beginning . . . our ideas keep on coming!
The desire: Isabelle and Alexandra, two sisters on maternity leave, wanted to spend time with their children while starting a business that would allow them to give back to their community. They also wanted to be able to do things their way and at their own pace.
In 2014, Isabelle left the company to pursue other projects. Alexandra continues to grow glup’s business, while having fun, giving back to society, and staying true to her core values. She has surrounded herself with a super team, which collaborates harmoniously to promote glup with creativity and through hard work.
glup was created above all else for you the customer; we really love seeing your children wearing glup accessories in different ways and for a long time. We also love meeting our customers, listening to their comments and suggestions. In fact, we often modify our designs based on your feedback. And of course, we love it when you sing glup’s praises: we love to hear how the Trimini is “fantastic”, or how the Patous really highlight “those cute plump little thighs”, how the Mitous “are super practical”, and how the Balaclava is the winter accessory favoured by daycare educators. These comments let us know that glup accessories are appreciated and loved, and that really warms our hearts.
